Take me out to the ball game...and to the rock club! We figured that on certain Red Sox home game nights that it might be fun/cool/a good idea to do some shows like they used to do at the now long gone Rat in the 70's by lifting the cover (that's right - free entry!) and having two bands do two sets (and sometimes we'll even have one band do three or four sets.)

This way you can come early or come late and see the bands while coming and going as you please since there is NO COVER.

So why call it a "Subway Series"? Well, parking's a bitch in the Fenway during home games, and we're just a hop, skip, and a jump from the T, so why not take the subway to Church?

Tonight we feature over two hours from the Massachusetts WHO tribute band HAPPY JACK (featuring members of several well known Massachusetts bands including The Bees Knees, The Curtain Society, and The Drunken Uncles) plus an opening hour set of blues and rock from KING JUNK.

Heavy metal poisoning indeed...and with with nothing but joy at that! Hoo boy, the last time MOTHERBOAR and Nebraska's BLOODCOW played at Church the joint was jumping and a good time like that had not been had by all in a long, long time. So we are pretty psyched to have them coming back around as spearheaded by our main man Duncan Wilder Johnson' DESTRUCT-A-THON serving as a well needed ringer between the two. Yow!
